Australia shares expected to open higher, NZ falls
May 25 (Reuters) - Australian shares were expected to inch higher at open on Wednesday as strong bullion prices will likely boost domestic gold stocks, though a weak Wall Street session overnight may limit gains.
The local share price index futures rose 0.1%, a 1.2-point premium to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index close. The benchmark ended 0.3% lower on Tuesday.
New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index fell 0.1% by 2223 GMT.
